How often do you celebrate your employees?

Like any other business, practices get busy. It’s hard to believe we’re already into October. Summer holidays seem long behind us, school’s been in session for weeks, and patients are getting back to routines. At work, you may be thinking about your end-of-year recalling or eyewear sales targets, and what you need to accomplish over the next three months to meet them.

Then there are bills to pay, orders to fill, ads to approve. Life gets busy.

Between everything that comes up, how often do you remember to celebrate your employees?

There is plenty of research that links employee engagement with employee productivity. But it’s just as important to remember that your staff are your business representatives. Your recallers are your salespeople. If they aren’t engaged – or are feeling overwhelmed and undervalued – that’s noticeable in their work, and to your patients.

The beauty of this is that it doesn’t take much to ensure your staff feel appreciated, and celebrating accomplishments is one great way to tie appreciation to your practice’s goals.
